schedule
Hello
fellow Canadian!
Come celebrate Canada Day at the 21st Annual Russell Canada Day
celebration.
For the past 20
years, the Russell Agricultural Society and the Russell Lions Club
have been hosting one of the best Canada Day celebrations in Eastern
Ontario. This year
the tradition continues with a jam-packed day of activities,
entertainment and topped-off with amazing fireworks!
The festivities start off with the Free Pancake Breakfast hosted by
the Russell Legion.

There will be
activities for children starting at noon with face painting, egg
toss challenge, races, corn box, kids’ mini-golf, batting cage and
the ever-popular Scavenger Hunt.
Interested in a physical challenge? Why not sign up for the
Volleyball Tournament (teams of six players with at least 2 female
payers per team). Want to take in the tournament but not as a
player? Why not participate as a spectator and watch the action from
the comfort of our licensed pavilion (open from noon to 10 pm).
As with other years, people will be satisfying their hunger pangs at
the Russell Fire Department's pig roast barbecue, starting at 5:00
PM. Mouthwatering is a word that comes to mind when describing this
much anticipated culinary feat!
No Russell Canada Day festivities would be complete without
entertainment and this
year
we’ve got a complete roster! On stage for Canada
Day we will have Eddy and
the Stingrays Beach Party, the
Castor River Boys, Ginette Hamilton and the 4Gs and Bill Connelly.
To top it all off we will be having the best fireworks display this
side of Parliament Hill!
This July 1st, make Russell your destination for celebrating the
140th anniversary of Canada’s Confederation. See you there!
