Russell, March 20, 2007 – Russell Agricultural Society is pleased to announce that the 4th annual Ladies Night in Russell is fast approaching and this year, the Ladies are “Turning up the Heat”!

Ladies Night is heading “South” so ladies, round up your gal pals, grab your beach bags, sun screen and sunglasses as it will surely to be a HOT HOT HOT night in Russell. Get ready for an evening of fun and laughs at the Beach (Dr. Frank Kinnaird Community Centre - Russell Arena) on Friday, May 11th. Doors open at 5:30 for cocktails and silent auction, followed by a wonderful meal served up by AJ’s Valley Foods of Metcalfe.

Our Life Guards for the evening (Emcees) will be our very own Chelsea Miller from Live 88.5 FM and “Eric the Intern” from Chez 106. The fast pace bidding will once again be handled by our professional auctioneers, the James’ of Russell. Sponsors that are on board for the evening are Scotia Bank, Musik Express, and Chez Lili party rentals.

All proceeds from this year’s live silent auction will be put towards to the furnishing of a Family Waiting Room in the new Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH). The Family Waiting Room will be an area where family and friends can be comfortable during lengthy time periods required for the support and care of their loved ones.

The WDMH is undergoing its much anticipated redevelopment project which will greatly enhance the already excellent care and service the staff, physicians and volunteers have provided to its extended communities since 1948.

Tickets are $35.00 each and must be purchased in advance. Group seating is available, so round up your girlfriends for what will surely be a night to remember. This event always sells out so call Judy at 613-445-4161 to get your tickets before they are all gone.
