is Local Favourite:
AMBUSH!

Like his latest CD titled “No Stranger”, this grassroots entertainer is no stranger to Canadian communities. He has always stayed true to his belief that performers have an almost sacred responsibility to their community that cannot be taken lightly.
In April 2008, Tom Cochrane became an officer of the Order of Canada for “songs that recount stories and dreams that are unabashedly Canadian” and for his humanitarian efforts in fighting global poverty.

The Bowes Brothers Band
 Saturday September 6, 2008
 Time: 2:00 PM. – 5:00 PM

Born and raised in Carleton Place Ontario, these four natural brothers, along with their father Clarence, form the Bowes Brothers. Influenced by such groups as the Statler Brothers and the Irish Rovers, they began singing and playing country and gospel music at an early age. It has only been since 2002 that this family put themselves on stage together to perform as a band.

Popular to fairs and festivals throughout Eastern Ontario, Western Quebec and the Maritime Provinces, the Bowes Brothers are especially noted for performances at the International Plowing Match and the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club’s Christmas parties for two consecutive years. They were featured on CJOH Television's Regional Contact in 2003 and after an overwhelming response again in 2004. They have shared the stage with some of country's best like Stompin' Tom Connors, Ricky Skaggs, Charlie Major, George Canyon, Paul Brandt, Ronnie Prophet and the Road Hammers.

Along with performing publicly at fairs and festivals, the Bowes Brothers have also become a popular valley dance band playing weddings and many social events.

Singing in four part harmony with some humor, the Bowes Brothers bring a unique

style to country music.

The Band GAMUT
 Saturday September 6, 2008
 Time: 9:00 PM until closing

A live performance is the only way to truly appreciate the diversity of this four piece Rock and Roll band . Their great mix of covers have been carefully selected to keep the crowd dancing and pleading for more at the end of the night!

GAMUT have been together for several years , going through various name and member changes ... all the while developing it's unique blend of entertaining music.

The final piece fell into place in early 2004 with the addition of a new lead guitar member and the rest is as they say ... Rock and Roll history!
