RULES

A) General rules and regulations of the Russell Agricultural Society apply.
B) Exhibitors must be members of the Russell Agricultural Society. Memberships, entry forms and entry tags are available from the Secretary.
C) Entry forms must be in the hands of the Fair Secretary by Friday, September 3, 2010.
D) Entries may be placed in the Curling Rink on Wednesday, September 8, between 6:30 and 8:00 p.m., and Thursday, September 9, between 8:00 and 9:30 a.m. All exhibits must be tagged, numbered and in the Curling Rink by 9:30 a.m., Thursday, September 9, 2010.
E) Plants and flowers must be grown by the exhibitor unless otherwise stipulated.
F) No admission to the hall while judging is in progress.
G) Judging will follow the Ontario Judging Standards Publication 34.
H) In lieu of entry fees, exhibitors will have an extra 10% deducted for winnings over $10.00 (ten dollars).
I) Entries to be removed on Sunday, September 12 after 4:30 p.m.

ANNUAL SECTION
Remember - the exact number of specimens called for must be shown. Only self-foliage is permitted to be attached. Name the cultivar when possible.

4) Spider flower (cleome), 3 stems.
5) Cosmos (C. bipinnatus), any colour, 3 sprays.

72) “Treasures of the Earth” – an arrangement in a basket using flowers, vegetables and/or fruit.
73) “Life on the Rocks” – an arrangement incorporating rocks with two colours of flowers and complimentary foliage.
74) “Tipsy Teacup” – An arrangement using a cup and saucer.
75) “By the Sea” – An arrangement of flowers, shells, etc. To suggest the sea shore.
76) “Small Joy” – Arrangement not to exceed 12.5 cm in any direction.
77) “Out of the Tool Box” – Arrangement in or using tools – a one side arrangement.
78) “Autumn” – Foliage design arrangement, foliage should predominate, flowers and/or fruit may be present but must be inconspicuous.
79) “Solitude” – a water viewing design, using no more than 3 flowers.
