The Russell Agricultural Society was proud to host the 153rd
edition of the annual Russell Fair last September.
We invite you to click through the pages of our website to discover for
yourself the many attractions our Fair had to offer in 2011 – there was truly
something for everyone.
It all began on
Thursday with a
stock truck pull,
Deal or No Deal and
karaoke night.
On Friday
of the Fair, over 1,000 students came to learn about the rural lifestyle during
Education Day.
This year, our evening concert featured the all-headliner
evening with
Chilliwack,
Spirit of the West and Kim Mitchell.
Throughout the weekend, visitors
to our Fair enjoyed the horticultural show, the home crafts and
agricultural exhibits, midway, animal show, elephant rides, and a range of
entertainment. Another Fair favourite was the
demolition derby
on Saturday evening, followed by
Sticks’n Stones
on stage.
Sunday, we saw
the return of our
seniors program, alon g with the
farm tractor pull,
and our fall
cutting horse competition.
And on Sunday
afternoon we featured
Diamond Heart
and Ambush.
