Education Day’s “Farm Life in the 1850s” will take place on Friday, September 5 in the arena, under “The Big Tent” and in “The Round Barn”. One display will focus on the home, the day to day chores required by members of the family in order to stay warm and put food on the table. The second display will focus on the farming practices and the challenges our pioneers faced in order to clear the land, plant crops and raise livestock.
