2. $10.00 for new exhibitor with most points, donated by The Russell Village Women's Institute.

 

RULES


a) General rules and regulations of the Russell Agricultural Society apply.
b) Exhibitors must be members of the Russell Agricultural Society. Memberships, entry forms and entry tags are available from the Secretary.
c) Entry forms must be in the hands of the Fair Secretary by Friday, August 29, 2008.
d) Entries may be placed in the Curling Rink on Wednesday, September 3, between 6:30 and 8:00 p.m., and Thursday, September 4, between 8:00 and 9:30 a.m. All exhibits must be tagged, numbered and in the Curling Rink by 9:30 a.m., Thursday, September 4, 2008.
e) Plants and flowers must be grown by the exhibitor unless otherwise stipulated.
f) No admission to the hall while judging is in progress.
g) Judging will follow the Ontario Judging Standards Publication 34.
h) In lieu of entry fees, exhibitors will have an extra 10% deducted for winnings over $10.00 (ten dollars).
i) Entries to be removed on Sunday, September 7 after 4:30 p.m.

72. “Suitable for a Queen” - a Victorian mass arrangement in an antique looking container.

73. “Fragrance in Hand” – a nosegay (tight cluster of fragrant flowers, designed to be handheld. May have a doily attached).

74. “You are Special” – dried tussie-mussie (small bouquet of concentric circles of small fragrant flowers around a central flower.

75.  “Afternoon Tea” - arrangement using a tea cup and saucer.

76. “Last Roses of Summer” – roses and/or rosehips in an arrangement with foliage.

77. “Just a Wee Thing” – mini arrangement not to exceed 12 cm in any directions.

78.  “Get cracking” – arrangement in an egg shell.

79.  “From Country Ditches” – wild flowers in a pitcher (not plastic and less than 30 cm tall).

80.  “Thoughts of the Castor” – a water viewing design in a shallow container with one-half to two-thirds of the container surface showing water.

81.  “Congratulations” – an arrangement signifying the 150th Anniversary of the Russell Agricultural Society using yellow, green and white plant material.
