RULES |

a) |
Entry forms must be
submitted by Saturday, August 23rd, 2008 to Bev McLean, P.O.
Box 686, Russell, ON K4R 1E8 or dropped off at 155 Castor Street,
Russell.

b) |
Entries must be on
display for judging by Wednesday, August 27th and Thursday, August
28th, 2008.
|
|
c) |
No entry fee.
|
|
d) |
Winner will be advised
by phone.
|
|
e) |
Open to everyone. Group
entries welcome.
|
|
f) |
Winner will be invited
to bring their scarecrow to be displayed at the Fair.
|
|
g) |
Pictures of all other
entries will be on display at the Fair.
|
|
h) |
Minimum height of
scarecrow, 4 feet. Maximum height, 6 feet.
|
|
i) |
Scarecrow must include
fair dates, September 4 – 7, 2008.
|
|
j) |
Scarecrow must promote
150th anniversary of the Russell Fair.
|
|
k) |
Scarecrow must be made
from recycled material only.
|
|
l) |
If not within 50 km. of
the town of Russell, entries must be brought to the village of
Russell for judging. Display area to be determined.

|
m) |
Scarecrow must be
visible from the road.
|
|
n) |
Scarecrow must be able
to be moved, i.e. for display at the Fair.
|
|
o) |
